Will my reptile be in a species appropriate enclosure?
Yes, what ever reptile you board with us it will be in a species appropriate enclosure. All with the correct % of UVB (if required) heating and humidity, which is controlled by digital day and night thermostats and hygrometers. The furnishings inside the enclosures are simple but cosy, this is for ease of sanitization between boarding guests.
Will my reptile be fed an appropriate diet?
Yes, not all reptiles eat the same diet, if your bearded dragon is boarding with us, it will receive live insects. These include, dubia roaches, crickets, locusts, morio worms, wax worms, and mealworms.
A mixture of vegetables is also be fed to your dragon, which will consist of. Spring greens, courgette, sweet potato, squash, kale, carrots and more. If your pet only likes certain foods we will feed it that.
This also depends if your dragon is a baby, or an adult. Baby bearded dragons eat mostly insects, 2-3 times daily due to growth, so require more protein, but need vegetables for hydration too.
An adult bearded dragon is fed more vegetables now than insects, and fed insects 2-3 times a week.
If you board a crested gecko with us, they will receive insects if liked but mostly their diet consists of a complete fruit and insect diet. This is normally Pangea, a high quality food we feed our own reptiles, and is fed every other day.
A tortoise is fed romaine lettuce, kale, carrots, cucumber, dandelion leaves and flowers. If pellets are fed, we ask you to provide this, which saves your tortoise suffering digestive issues.
Are my pets safe with you?
Yes they are completely safe with us Because our boarding facility is in our family home, there is always someone at home day and night. As I provide other services like pet drop-in visits, I am out for some of the day. In my absence there is always another human to supervise when needed.
